Apparently Dr. McKenzie's main nurse is also his wife. If you upset her, she'll remove you as a patient. I had changed to a different insurance company in 2017 and that changed my primary care physician. Since I don't go to the doctor very often and I only have 1 Rx, I just figured I'd change back to a carrier that Dr. McKenzie would take at the end of the year. Well his wife/nurse didn't like this plan and accused me of trying to have two PCP's and trying to double dip on Rx. Never happened. Total BS. I told her I would be changing insurance carriers so I could go back to Dr. McKenzie and I thought we left the conversation on good terms. Guess I was wrong. I changed carriers and tried to schedule an appointment only to find out she yanked me as a patient due to our "incident". Totally immature and unprofessional. I like Dr. McKenzie. I was even willing to put up with everything being constantly behind schedule there, but I can't recommend this office if this is the way it's going to be run.
